Wake Up Call Message: Self-assessment through SWOT Analysis

WAKE UP CALL MESSAGE

Topic: Self-assessment through SWOT Analysis

INTRODUCTION

Our personal journey of self-assessment is best understood through the salvation pillars of God. As believers, we reflect on the purpose of redemption through Jesus Christ, who came to save us from the consequences of sin that began in the Garden of Eden. When Adam and Eve disobeyed God and ate from the forbidden fruit (Genesis 2:16-17), they exposed humanity to a generational curse — separation from God's full blessings.

In order for us to reclaim our rightful inheritance and realign ourselves with God’s purpose, we must first seek His blessings and do a sincere evaluation of our lives. This requires personal self-assessment, which we can practically approach through a spiritual SWOT analysis (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats), anchored on God’s word.

STRENGTH – Language Pillar

Our strength lies in the Language Pillar — the power of learning and communicating in both spiritual and physical realms.

  • Spiritual Language: Divine communication through God’s invisible qualities — His eternal power and divine nature (Romans 1:20). It enables us to perceive His will and grow in wisdom.
  • Physical Language: Our integrity, personal power, and authority given to build, create, and develop, using God-given abilities with honesty and discipline.

Through mastering both languages, we build a strong foundation for living according to God’s plan.

WEAKNESS – Tribe Pillar

Our weakness stems from the Tribe Pillar — the cultural and traditional systems where power and governance often create limitations.

Within tribes, leaders may set rules that serve self-interest rather than God’s truth. These structures can foster division, favoritism, and exclusion, hindering personal and collective growth. We must be careful not to be trapped by tribal mindsets that elevate tradition over truth, thereby weakening our development.

OPPORTUNITIES – Nation Pillar

Our opportunities flourish in the Nation Pillar — the organized kingdom where people live and interact.

Nations are formed through electing leaders to oversee internal and external matters. This structure offers a platform for order, development, commerce, and peaceful coexistence. When governed by righteousness, nations provide opportunities for individuals to thrive and contribute meaningfully.

THREATS – People Pillar

Our greatest threat lies within the People Pillar — human nature's inclination towards competition over cooperation.

James 3:13-18: "Bitter envy and selfish ambition create disorder and every evil practice."

Instead of being creative, people often fall into copying others, leading to unhealthy competition, greed, and conflict. Without God’s wisdom, people rule without mercy, faithfulness, or justice. We must allow God’s wisdom to guide our interactions.

SOLUTION

The way forward is found in Matthew 23:1-39, where Jesus warns against the hypocrisy of the Pharisees and law teachers.

We are advised to listen to true teachings but not to imitate hypocritical behavior. True righteousness means living out God’s principles with humility, sincerity, and justice — rising above legalism and self-righteous conduct.

CONCLUSION: Self-assessment is the Key to SUCCESS BUILDING

To build true success, we must embrace these principles:

  • S – Self-control
  • U – Understanding
  • C – Conscious
  • C – Compassionate
  • E – Energetic
  • S – Self-awareness
  • S – Self-esteem

Through consistent self-assessment under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, we are empowered to live purposefully, serve faithfully, and grow continuously both spiritually and physically.

Wake up, assess yourself, and realign with God’s plan — for you are created for greatness.
