Wake-Up Call Message: Retooling Moment

Wake-Up Call Message

“In that day people will look to their Maker and turn their eyes to the Holy One of Israel.” — Isaiah 17:7

TOPIC: Retooling Moment

Introduction — Refitting Our Toolbox

Our first business on earth is to seek the Source of our tools.

  • Input tools of governance: power, wealth, wisdom — gifts that flow from the Spirit of God.
  • Output tools of dominion: honour, glory, praise — returns we offer back to God.

When God called Moses, He asked, “What is that in your hand?” (Exodus 4:2). The staff, sword, or prophetic word in each era still matters today. What’s in your hand right now?

Problem — Misdirected at the Critical Hour

Our Maker often summons us “from midnight to dawn,” yet many leaders—called to be modern-day deliverers—are:

  • Distracted by pleasure (debauchery)
  • Diverted by conflict (altercation)
  • Disconnected in deep sleep (spiritual lethargy)

When the call comes, empty hands or busy hands cannot receive the assignment.

Challenge — The Digital Toolbox

Today, the computer is our toolbox, and its four “compass points” guide our service gifts:

Compass Point Digital Toolkit Spiritual Gift Focus
North Networking Mercy & Giving
East Ethernet (Connectivity) Organization & Helps
South Software Prophecy & Discernment
West Website Teaching & Shepherding

Starting each day with Heaven’s download keeps us obedient and disciplined.

Solution — Watch-Time Devotion

Our liability to family, colleagues, and congregations is shaped by how we open our daily “turnover time”:

  • Altar Dream Time: 12 am–6 am / Sabbath — spiritual planning and worship
  • Work Development Time: 6 am–6 pm / weekdays — execution and stewardship
  • Family Devotion Time: 6 pm–12 am / social days — relationship building

At every watch, we decide: Who rules our pursuit—God or Mammon?

Conclusion — Living Wisely in a Digital Age

The world has become a global village; technology now fulfils ancient prophecy by connecting everyone and everything.

Yet, we must choose our tools wisely:

  • Good knowledge brings light, life, and love — through Word study, the Lord’s Prayer, and spiritual meditation.
  • Evil knowledge leads to darkness, death, and division — through secrecy, ignorance, and negativity.

As stewards of 24/7 digital business models, let us guard our purpose and balance both strengths and weaknesses — offering all honour, glory, and praise back to our Maker.
